Dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands are great for rebuilding your strength if you’re recovering from an injury, providing you start light and gradually increase the weight you’re using as your strength improves. If you start using heavy weights too early, it could put too much strain on your joints and muscles before they’ve fully recovered. Always consult a doctor before attempting a physio programme to ensure it’s safe to do so.
